2020 Meeting Information

The 2020 annual meeting will take place at the University of Georgia in Athens, GA from February 28th to March 1st. The theme for the conference is Rapid Religious Cultural Change, organized around the question “Why do religious beliefs at times change very quickly and what kinds of societal impacts do these changes have?”

The meeting and registration will take place on the second floor of the UGA Miller Learning Center (700 S Lumpkin St, Athens, GA 30602). Free Parking at the University of Georgia is available from 6 pm Friday to Sunday afternoon in the Hull Street Parking Deck (400 S Hull St, Athens, GA 30605) and all day Saturday and Sunday at the Tate Center Parking Deck (705 S. Lumpkin St. Athens, GA 30605).

2019 Parking Information

For those driving to SECSOR, please be sure and pre-order an ECU parking permit ($5 for the entire conference) at this link:https://epay-banner.ecu.edu/C20694_ustores/web/classic/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCTID=1178
You also have the opportunity to pre-order a boxed lunch for either one or two days.
When you arrive in Greenville, NC, the easiest way to obtain your parking permit and park your car for the conference is to follow the attached map showing 10th street at the Brewster Building on the ECU campus. Pull into the one-way driveway in front of the Brewster Building from 10th street. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Brewster+Building,+E+10th+St,+Greenville,+NC+27858/@35.6044918,-77.3645865,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x89aee7f194848df9:0xa2a1f0c7ef988eb5!8m2!3d35.6044918!4d-77.3623978
Several of our Religious Studies Majors will be in the parking lot in front of Brewster with the parking permits, campus maps, and lists of those who have pre-ordered parking permits. The students will be there from 1- 5 PM on Friday. You can receive your permit there and continue through the one-way driveway. There is a traffic light to help you make a left turn back onto 10 street. When you are again on 10th, you will see the B1 Parking lots at College Hill Drive. Your permits are good for all B1 lots during the conference.

Those attendees who do not arrive until Saturday will need to pick up their parking permits on the second floor of the Bate Building at the Registration table. I hope the link below will help you find the building before you receive a campus map with the permit.
